Certainties, assumptions and doubts

I organized all the information collected in desk research to understand what I see as certainties, assumptions and doubts.

Online survey

In order to learn a little more about people's behavior when planning a trip, we organized a questionnaire on Google Forms.

In total, we got 30 responses and validated some points from our Framework

01.Tripadvisor

The application allows you to search for hotels, restaurants and attractions in your destination. You are able to save them as favorites, so when you decide to make the trip, you have the information without having to search again. In addition, it is possible to plan the trip itinerary relating it to the dates.

02.GoDiscover

The app uses images to give tips on sights, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops in different cities around the world and helps you to plan and organize a personalized map in just 2 minutes. The difference of GoDiscover is the ease of creating an travel itinerary without having time, and even at the last minute. The negative point of the app is that you need to be invited to be able to use it.

03.Airbnb

The app, in addition to letting you rent a house/apartment or room, also offers activities called experiences. The app uses geolocation to offer activities close to the user's location.

Research analysis

After desk research, benchmarking and online survey, I analyzed the results and data in a spreadsheet to validate the assumptions and doubts and it was possible to move most of the items to the certainty column.

Personas

We analyzed the survey's results, and found that travel patterns varied more by age. Therefore, we decided to analyze 3 groups and created a persona for each one.

To understand them better, we developed the empathy map of each persona, to know what they think, what are their desires and pains.

User flow

Based on the results of the discovery process, I created a user flow diagram to determine the most necessary features.

Wireframe

After deciding the user flow, I created the wireframes directly on figma, for the major features in the user flow: home screen, quiz for users who haven't decided on a destination, my trips and new trip page.

Visual

Thinking about the UI, we decided to follow a clean design, to enhance the images.
Blue was decided to be the action color, present in links, buttons, and tab bar.
